The ideal candidate will possess 15+ years of construction and project management experience, with a strong track record in high-rise commercial developments and excellent leadership and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required; Master's degree is preferred.

• Proven track record in independently managing large commercial building projects end-to-end.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Head to lead and manage commercial construction projects in Chandigarh. The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, cost control, safety compliance, and effective coordination across all project stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in managing large-scale high-rise commercial projects from planning and design coordination through construction, commissioning, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Management: Lead the complete project lifecycle, from planning and mobilization to execution, commissioning, and handover.
• Project Planning & Execution: Develop project schedules, resource plans, milestones, and execution strategies to ensure timely completion.
• Construction Management: Oversee high-rise commercial construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and construction standards.
• Budget & Cost Control: Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, control costs, and optimize resource utilization.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards, technical specifications, approved designs, and applicable building codes.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with architects, structural and MEP consultants, contractors, PMC teams, vendors, and internal departments.
• Contractor Management: Monitor contractor performance, resolve site-level issues, and ensure adherence to project timelines and contractual obligations.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure implementation of site safety practices and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify project risks, resolve construction challenges, and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
• Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Review project progress, conduct regular site meetings, and report project status, risks, and milestones to senior management.
• Commissioning & Handover: Ensure successful testing, commissioning, documentation, and final handover of the completed commercial project.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; M.Tech or other relevant postgraduate qualifications preferred.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in construction and project management.
• Proven experience in independently managing commercial building projects end to end.
• Strong expertise in construction planning, execution, budgeting, quality control, and project scheduling.
• Experience handling contractors, consultants, project teams, and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage project timelines, costs, quality, and safety requirements effectively.
