Position Overview
The Exhibition Sales Head will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth for exhibitions,trade fairs, and related events. This role involves leading the sales team, developing strategicpartnerships, securing exhibitors/sponsors, and ensuring achievement of financial and businesstargets. The role requires strong industry knowledge, proven sales leadership, and the ability tobuild lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve exhibition revenue targets
- Identify, approach, and secure new exhibitors, sponsors, and partners.
- Retain and grow business from existing clients through effective relationshipmanagement.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the exhibition sales team to deliver targets.
- Establish performance metrics, track sales pipelines, and monitor progress.
- Provide training, guidance, and feedback to enhance team performance.
Business Development & Partnerships
- Expand industry networks and partnerships to maximize participation.
- Negotiate contracts, sponsorship deals, and customized packages.
- Work closely with marketing and operations teams to align on event positioning.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop annual sales budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Propose innovative sales initiatives to strengthen event positioning.
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the key contact for high-value exhibitors and sponsors.
- Ensure exceptional client servicing and post-event engagement.
- Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and networking events.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in B2B sales, with at least 5 years in exhibitions/tradeshows/events.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced environment.
