Job summary

Welspun Living Limited is seeking an experienced Project Head (Civil) – AVP to drive end-to-end civil execution of large greenfield textile manufacturing projects from concept through commissioning. The role emphasizes robust project controls, safety, and value engineering across multi‑discipline teams.

The ideal candidate will have 18–25 years in industrial project execution, strong civil construction knowledge, and be willing to be based at Anjar, Gujarat.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Master's preferred.
• 18–25 years of experience in industrial project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of greenfield textile manufacturing projects from feasibility to plant commissioning.
• Develop project execution strategy, master schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Manage design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, EPC contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee construction of manufacturing buildings, utilities, roads, drainage, and infrastructure.
• Ensure delivery within cost, quality, safety, and schedule targets.
• Review drawings, BOQs, tender docs, and contractor bills.
• Drive value engineering and cost optimization while maintaining quality.
• Ensure compliance with statutory approvals, environmental, fire safety, and codes.
• Lead contractor evaluation, vendor negotiations, contract administration, and performance management.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Utilities, Procurement, Finance, EHS, and Leadership teams.
• Support installation readiness and handover of infrastructure.

Welspun Living is looking for an experienced Project Head (Civil) – AVP to lead the civil execution, and delivery of large-scale greenfield textile manufacturing projects. The role will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, including civil infrastructure, factory buildings, utilities, compliance, contractor management, cost control, and timely commissioning of world-class manufacturing facilities.

The ideal candidate should have successfully completed entire lifecycle of construction of greenfield textile manufacturing plants and possess strong expertise in industrial project management from concept to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of greenfield textile manufacturing projects from feasibility to plant commissioning.
• Develop project execution strategy, master schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Manage design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, EPC contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
• Oversee construction of manufacturing buildings, warehouses, utilities, roads, drainage, administrative buildings, and supporting infrastructure.
• Ensure projects are delivered within approved cost, quality, safety, and timeline parameters.
• Monitor project progress using project management tools and drive mitigation plans for schedule or cost deviations.
• Review engineering drawings, BOQs, tender documents, and contractor bills.
• Drive value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality.
• Ensure compliance with statutory approvals, environmental regulations, fire safety norms, and building codes.
• Lead contractor evaluation, vendor negotiations, contract administration, and performance management.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Utilities, Procurement, Finance, EHS, and Leadership teams during project execution.
• Support installation readiness for manufacturing equipment and infrastructure handover.
• Ensure implementation of world-class safety practices across project sites.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 18–25 years of experience in industrial project execution.
• Proven experience in leading greenfield textile manufacturing plant projects.
• Experience in large integrated manufacturing facilities with exposure to spinning, weaving, processing, home textiles, garments, or similar industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of industrial civil construction, structural works, utilities, and infrastructure development.
• Hands‑on experience in project planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Strong understanding of contract management, budgeting, project controls, and risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
• Willingness to be based at Anjar, Gujarat.
