Acuity Analytics seeks a seasoned Project Finance professional to join the Lending Services team in Gurgaon. This role focuses on credit reviews, performance analysis, and regulatory compliance for infrastructure and energy projects.

You will monitor metrics like DSCR/IRR, assess EPC progress, and engage with internal credit teams and borrowers to prepare concise memos and drive risk-adjusted decisions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in project finance, credit analysis, or portfolio monitoring.
• Strong understanding of project finance structures, financial modelling, and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with sector-specific KPIs, regulatory frameworks, and performance benchmarks.
• Proficiency in financial analysis tools (Excel, FactSet, CapitalIQ); exposure to project finance models is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing high-quality review notes and engaging with stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Monitoring & Credit Review—perform detailed annual and quarterly credit reviews.
• Analyze financial, operational, and technical performance of projects against underwriting covenants.
• Monitor DSCR, LLCR, PLCR, IRR and coverage ratios; flag early warning signals.
• Review EPC progress, cost reports, drawdowns, variation orders, contingency usage and timelines.
• Analyze project risk registers and mitigation strategies; align with lender expectations.
• Track completion tests, milestones, and debt service commencement requirements.
• Prepare and present clear review memos with key credit concerns and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk models and regulatory requirements.

Job Title: Project Finance (Sr Associate/ Delivery Lead/ Manager)

• Location: Gurgaon (work from office)
• Work hours: 10am to 7pm IST/ 1pm to 10pm

Job Purpose

We are looking for a passionate, energetic individual to join our Lending Services division. You will be part of team working as an extension to our European based client ensuring we fulfill the applicable SLA’s.

Key Responsibilities – Project Finance Construction Phase Monitoring: Operational Phase Monitoring: Stakeholder Communication: Regulatory and Compliance Support:

• Portfolio Monitoring & Credit Review:
• Perform detailed annual and quarterly credit reviews for allocated projects, assessing performance against original underwriting assumptions and covenants.
• Analyze financial, operational, and technical performance of the projects, including key project milestones (for construction phase) and actual vs. budget comparisons (for operational phase).
• Monitor key financial metrics such as DSCR, LLCR, PLCR, IRR, and coverage ratios, flagging early warning signals.
• Review EPC progress, cost reports, drawdowns, variation orders, contingency usage, and timelines.
• Analyze project risk registers and mitigation strategies, ensuring alignment with lender expectations.
• Track completion tests, project milestones, and compliance with debt service commencement requirements.
• Assess plant availability, capacity utilization, O&M performance, and major maintenance plans.
• Review revenue streams (e.g., PPA tariffs, offtake arrangements), operating costs, and adherence to financial covenants.
• Identify sector-specific risks (e.g., curtailment risk in wind/solar, toll collection efficiency in roads) and analyze their potential credit impact.
• Liaise with internal credit teams, relationship managers, and if required, borrowers or third-party consultants to gather key information.
• Prepare and present clear, concise review memos, highlighting key credit concerns and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk rating models and regulatory requirements relevant to project finance exposures.
• Support internal audits and regulatory reviews by providing necessary documentation and analysis.

Key Competencies

• 4+ years of experience in project finance, credit analysis, or portfolio monitoring, preferably across infrastructure and energy sectors.
