Job summary

Acuity Analytics is seeking a qualified credit professional to analyze project finance opportunities, evaluate renewables projects, and structure transactions. The role involves due diligence, risk assessment, and preparing credit recommendations while collaborating with credit officers and sponsors.

You will review agreements, monitor covenant compliance, and mentor junior team members to maintain high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of credit principles, policies and regulations, loan products.
• Post graduation degree in MBA Finance or M. Com or equivalent degree. CFA qualification is preferable, however not mandatory.
• 3-7 years experience in credit report writing
• Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Experience in renewable energy and project finance transactions will be an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Analyze project finance opportunities by evaluating project economics, cash flows, repayment capacity, financial models, key credit metrics, and project performance under various operating scenarios.
• Assess renewable energy projects by evaluating market conditions, sponsor strength, operational capabilities, and key risks impacting project viability.
• Evaluate transaction structures by assessing debt sizing, repayment terms, financing structures, and sources of repayment, while preparing credit recommendations that identify key risks, mitigants, and policy exceptions.
• Review project agreements, perform due diligence, assess security arrangements, guarantees, and sponsor support structures.
• Monitor project performance, covenant compliance, operating metrics, liquidity, and credit quality through periodic reviews, risk assessments, industry trend analysis, and portfolio risk management activities.
• Partner with Credit Officers to gather required information, resolve queries, and ensure timely completion of reviews within established deadlines.
• Training, mentoring, and managing junior team members, providing guidance on underwriting methodologies, credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, and best practices to support their professional development and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication, proactive stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with fund sponsors, relationship managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of transactions and effective portfolio management.
