Job summary

Michezo Sports Infrastructure is seeking a Project Finance Executive to support financial planning, budgeting, cost monitoring, and financial management across projects. You will prepare budgets, track costs, ensure cash flow, and provide timely financial reports to management.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with Site Engineers, Procurement, and Accounts to collect data, ensuring compliance with policies, and supporting audits and financial closure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
  • MBA (Finance and Projects) preferred.
  • PMI certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor project costs, expenditures, and profitability against approved budgets.
  • Track project cash flows and ensure adequate fund availability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports, variance analysis, and project financial performance reports for management.
  • Assist in project budgeting, forecasting, and periodic financial reviews.
  • Coordinate with Project, Procurement, Engineering, Commercial, and Accounts teams to collect financial data.
  • Monitor project milestones from a financial perspective and identify cost overruns or budget deviations.
  • Ensure project billings are completed as per agreed contractual milestones.
  • Review actual project costs versus budgeted costs and recommend corrective actions.

Job Summary

The Project Finance Executive will support the financial planning, budgeting, cost monitoring, and financial management of projects across the organization. The role involves preparing project budgets, monitoring actual costs against approved budgets, coordinating with internal stakeholders (Site Engineers, Supervisors, Procurement, and Suppliers), and providing timely financial and Cost reports to management. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring project profitability, cash flow management, and compliance with organizational financial policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor project costs, expenditures, and profitability against approved budgets.

  • Track project cash flows and ensure adequate fund availability throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Prepare monthly MIS reports, variance analysis, and project financial performance reports for management.

  • Assist in project budgeting, forecasting, and periodic financial reviews.

  • Coordinate with Project, Procurement, Engineering, Commercial, and Accounts teams to collect financial and operational data.

  • Monitor project milestones from a financial perspective and identify cost overruns or budget deviations.

  • Ensure project billings are completed as per agreed contractual milestones.

  • Ensure Timely Followup will be done against billing and collecting outstandings

  • Review actual project costs versus budgeted costs and recommend corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure compliance with financing agreements, internal financial policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain project financial documentation, including approvals, funding records, invoices, and audit documentation.
  • Support statutory audits, internal audits, lender due diligence, and project financial closure.
  • Assist in preparing project profitability reports and management dashboards.
  • Work closely with project managers to improve cost efficiency and financial performance.
  • Monitor receivables, project collections, and customer billing status.
Qualifications Essential

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.

Preferred

MBA (Finance and Projects)

PMI ( Project Management Institute )

Required Skills

Strong financial analysis and project finance knowledge.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions, Financial Models, Dashboards).

Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Understanding of project costing, project financing structures, and capital budgeting.

Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP software.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
