Job summary

Medanta in Gurugram seeks a senior financial professional to oversee financial planning, monitoring, and reporting for new hospital/clinic construction and CapEx initiatives across India.

You will manage budgets, forecasts, and MIS, coordinate with project teams, and support financing decisions. 6 days/week on-site work in a fast-paced healthcare infrastructure environment.

Qualifications

  • CA or MBA Finance with 5–8 years in project/corporate finance.
  • Experience in healthcare or infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and project accounting.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, CapEx accounting, and cash flow management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models for new hospital/clinic construction and CapEx projects.
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgets; report variances.
  • Integrate ERP for project accounting, procurement, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Ind AS, GST, Companies Act and healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams, auditors and senior management to align financial goals.

Position Overview

The role will oversee financial planning, monitoring, and reporting for new unit construction projects and capital expenditure (CapEx) improvement initiatives across hospitals and clinics in India. The role requires strong financial acumen, ERP proficiency, and experience in managing large-scale healthcare infrastructure investments.

Working days - 6 days from office

Key Responsibilities
  • Project financial planning: Develop detailed budgets, forecasts, and financial models for new hospital/clinic construction and CapEx projects (along with business leaders/project teams).
  • CapEx monitoring: Track project expenditures, ensure adherence to approved budgets, and highlight variances.
  • ERP integration: Utilize ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/others) for project accounting, procurement, and reporting.
  • Compliance management: Ensure compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, GST, Labour Cess and healthcare-specific regulations.
  • Stakeholder coordination: Collaborate with project teams, contractors, auditors, and senior management to align financial goals with operational milestones.
  • Funding and approvals: Support financing decisions, prepare investment proposals, and manage board/committee approvals.
  • Reporting and MIS: Deliver structured MIS reports, dashboards, and presentations for management review.
  • Risk management: Identify financial risks in project execution and propose mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Min 5–8 years of experience in project finance or corporate finance, preferably in healthcare or infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/others).
  • Expertise in financial modelling, CapEx accounting, and project cash flow management.
  • Familiarity with Indian regulatory frameworks (Ind AS, GST, Companies Act).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Preferred (not mandatory) Attributes
  • Experience in healthcare sector projects (hospitals, clinics, diagnostics).
  • Exposure to publically listed entities, medium to large sized and/or investor driven organizations.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and operations teams.
  • Strong presentation skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and budgeting tools.
Location

Gurugram (though the role may require travel to project sites across multiple states).
