- Project Planning & Implementation responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring hospital projects including new unit setup, service line expansion, NABH accreditation, infrastructure development, and process improvement initiatives.
- The role will act as a central coordinator between clinical, administrative, and support departments to ensure timely project delivery, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.
- The incumbent will also support strategic initiatives, hospital expansion projects, and continuous improvement programs aligned with organizational goals.
Role & responsibilities
1. Expansion & Strategic Projects
- Support new hospital/unit launches and expansions
Assist in rollout of new service lines and outreach centers
Ensure regulatory readiness and operational setup
Provide execution support for strategic initiatives
2. Project Planning
- Develop detailed project plans for hospital initiatives (ICU, OT, wards, diagnostics, etc.)
Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Conduct feasibility and requirement assessments
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
3. Project Implementation
- Drive end-to-end execution of hospital projects (greenfield/brownfield)
Coordinate with internal departments (clinical, nursing, admin, HR, finance)
Ensure infrastructure, manpower, and SOP readiness before go-live
Monitor timelines, quality, and budget adherence
4. NABH & Compliance Management
- Lead NABH accreditation and re-accreditation projects
Ensure documentation, SOPs, and policy implementation across departments
Conduct internal audits and gap analysis
Ensure closure of non-conformities within timelines
5. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and biomedical vendors
Manage procurement and installation of medical equipment
Conduct regular project review meetings
Ensure alignment between all stakeholders
6. Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project progress through dashboards and MIS
Provide regular updates to leadership
Highlight risks, delays, and corrective actions
Maintain documentation for audits and compliance
7. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Identify operational gaps and drive improvement initiatives
Standardize hospital processes and workflows
Support digital initiatives like HIS implementation
Improve efficiency, patient experience, and cost optimization
