The incumbent will lead a design team, perform sag-tension calculations, and ensure timely delivery of designs and approvals while providing client support and coaching to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering in Civil with a strong background in transmission tower design.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage projects end-to-end.
• Excellent communication and client coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering documents for transmission tower and foundation design.
• Design per relevant codes and standards.
• Optimize tower and foundation weight with respect to tender quantities.
• Perform Sag-tension calculations.
• Provide approximate tower weight at tender stage.
• Ensure safe and optimized tower design.
• Timely completion of tower and foundation designs.
• Support client for engineering activities.
• Design transmission towers using PLS Tower software.
• Submit designs within deadlines.
• Obtain approvals with minimal comments.
• Support successful type testing of towers.
• Guide and coach the team to meet operational and financial goals.
• Ensure training and continuous learning for the team.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Preparation of engineering documents related to transmission tower and foundation design.
• Design as per relevant codes and standards.
• Optimize overall weight of tower and foundation with respect to tender quantity.
• Perform Sag tension calculation.
• Provide approximate weight of tower at tender stage.
• Safe and optimized designing of tower.
• Timely completion of designing of transmission line towers and foundations.
• Support client for engineering activities.
• Design of transmission tower, with use of PLS Tower software of transmission line design.
• Submission of transmission tower design within time limit.
• Approval of designs without major comments.
• Successful type testing of towers.
• Provide support to team for any engineering work.
• Provide guidance to team and coaching to the team to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: B. Tech / BE – Civil
• Experiences : 7-15 years of work experience in design of transmission tower and foundation.
• Knowledge of standards and codes relevant to transmission line engineering.

• Knowledge of STAAD will be preferrable
