Job summary

Adani Group in Gujarat is seeking an experienced Civil engineer to design transmission towers and foundations, ensuring compliance with codes, optimizing weight, and performing sag-tension calculations.

You will use PLS Tower for tower design, support clients, and deliver designs within deadlines, with training and mentoring to the team to achieve project metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 7–15 years of experience in design of transmission towers and foundations.
• Knowledge of codes and standards for transmission line engineering.
• Experience with PLS Tower; knowledge of STAAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering documents for tower and foundation design.
• Design per relevant codes and standards.
• Optimize tower and foundation weight for tender quantities.
• Perform sag-tension calculations and estimate tender weights.
• Submit designs within time limits and obtain approvals.
• Provide guidance and coaching to the design team.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of engineering documents related to transmission tower and foundation design.
• Design as per relevant codes and standards.
• Optimize overall weight of tower and foundation with respect to tenderquantity.
• Perform Sag tension calculation.Provide approximate weight of tower at tender stage.
• Safe and optimized designing of tower.
• Timely completion of designing of transmission line towers and foundations.
• Support client for engineering activities.
• Design of transmission tower, with use of PLS Tower software oftransmission line design.
• Submission of transmission tower design within time limit.
• Approval of designs without major comments.
• Successful type testing of towers.
• Provide support to team for any engineering work.
• Provide guidance to team and coaching to the team to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles.
• Ensure training and continuous learning of team.
• Handling interpersonal conflicts promotes collaboration and respect among the team.
• Smooth communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

• B. Tech / BE – Civil

Experiences:

• 7-15 years of work experience in design of transmission tower and foundation.
• Knowledge of standards and codes relevant to transmission line engineering.
• Knowledge of PLS Tower software.
• Knowledge of STAAD will be preferrable
