Job summary

Ram Taranga Solutions is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer for field-based projects. The role focuses on planning, supervising, and ensuring safe execution of transmission line works from foundation to commissioning, in line with project specs.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with hands-on experience in transmission line projects, tower erection, conductor stringing, and safety compliance. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Relevant experience in Transmission Line Projects.
Knowledge of transmission line construction, tower erection, conductor stringing, and commissioning.
Knowledge of electrical drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
Good coordination and communication skills.
Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.

Responsibilities

Plan and supervise transmission line construction activities, including foundation, erection, stringing, and commissioning.
Review and interpret approved drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, and project documents.
Conduct and monitor tower foundation activities, excavation, reinforcement, concreting, and backfilling.
Supervise tower material checking, assembly, and tower erection activities.
Coordinate conductor, earth wire, and OPGW stringing activities.
Ensure proper sagging, tensioning, clipping, and installation of transmission line accessories.
Monitor alignment, tower spotting, route survey, and right-of-way requirements.
Coordinate with survey, civil, electrical, procurement, subcontractor, and project teams.
Monitor daily work progress and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, method statements, quality standards, and project schedule.
Identify site issues and coordinate with the Project Manager/Engineering Team for timely resolution.
Monitor manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required for transmission line activities.
Coordinate with subcontractors and labour teams to achieve project targets.
Ensure proper inspection and documentation of completed works.
Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
Maintain project records, inspection reports, measurements, and as-built documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety standards and project requirements.

Job Purpose

Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and project safety procedures.
Conduct and participate in toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices at site.
Identify unsafe conditions and take corrective action.
Coordinate with the HSE team to maintain a safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with work-at-height, lifting, electrical, and other applicable safety requirements.

Required Qualifications
