Job summary

Careernet in Bengaluru, India seeks an experienced Project Manager / System Engineer to lead railway signaling initiatives. You will own the project solution engineering activities, customize and parameterize the generic solution to meet QCDP commitments, and ensure deliverables align with contractual requirements.

Lead the project Change Control Board, coordinate with Solution Director, validate designs, and manage the engineering team through Verification & Validation processes.

Qualifications

• 13–17 years of relevant experience in project engineering and system engineering for railway signaling/rail control systems.
• Proven ability to own technical scope and governance.
• Experience leading design and engineering activities and managing work packages.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for signaling systems in customer country.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for customer acceptance by managing the project technical contractual scope and ensuring engineering deliverables meet agreed requirements.
• Manage project technical risks, define mitigation plans, and raise variation orders in case of contractual scope evolution together with the Project Manager.
• Validate technical design choices with peers and the Solution Director; ensure applicable regulations in the customer country/city are incorporated into the solution design.
• Own project solution engineering activities including customization and parameterization of the generic solution to meet QCDP commitments; build and analyze the project requirements database (PRD) and allocate requirements across engineering roles.
• Chair the Project Change Control Board (CCB), supervise Verification & Validation, provide BOM, and lead complete validation of the Project Solution while functionally managing the engineering team.

• Railway signaling domain knowledge to ensure correct solution design, validation, and compliance for signaling projects.
• Experience supervising Verification & Validation and managing engineering documentation and technical deliverables (e.g., BOM and technical documents).

Good to Have:

• System Design experience for complex railway signaling solutions.
• Train Control system exposure to support end-to-end validation and integration considerations.

Qualifications:

• 13 - 17 years of relevant experience in project engineering and system engineering for railway signaling/rail control systems.

Education: B.E., B.Tech, M.E., or M. Tech in Computer Application, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Science and Automation, Computer Science and Information Security, Computer Science and Technology, Computer Science Engineering, or Computer Technology.
