Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. in Punjab, India, seeks an experienced Drive Engineering Lead to define and develop design, validation and compliance plans for tractor systems, ensuring performance, cost, delivery and homologation targets.

The role oversees design releases across the tractor platform, leads root-cause analyses for field and lab issues, and drives DFMEA, DVPs and drawings to support efficient project delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant work experience.
• Graduation – B.E. Mechanical Engg.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop comprehensive Design, Validation and Compliance plan for complete tractor Systems.
• Lead design and associated releases for entire tractor platform across New Platforms & its Upgrades.
• Lead root cause analysis & design modifications to address Field & Lab issues to improve customer value proposition and functional targets.
• Optimization of design to build frugally competitive products.
• Conduct DFA, DFS and DFM to align and streamline all cascading functions.
• To enable right product specifications are embodied in design avoiding end phase changes in product.
• Ensure creation of Design Standards, DFMEAs, DVPs, and Assembly/Installation drawings for efficient data keeping and project repository.

Timely Product Failure Mode Closures: Lead root cause analysis & design modifications to address Field & Lab issues to improve customer value proposition and functional targets.

Inculcate Product Cost Targets in Design: Optimization of design to build frugally competitive products.

Cross-functional Alignment: Conduct DFA, DFS and DFM to align and streamline all cascading functions.

Competition Benchmarking and Field Surveys: To enable right product specifications are embodied in design avoiding end phase changes in product.

Enforce Engineering Discipline: Ensure creation of Design Standards, DFMEAs, DVPs, and Assembly/Installation drawings for efficient data keeping and project repository.

Experience

12+ years of relevant work experience.
