Job summary

Symbiosis Management Consultants is seeking an experienced Electrical & Electronics Design engineer for agricultural and construction applications. You will derive specifications, design schematics and wiring harnesses, and ensure compliance with DFA/DFM and safety standards.

You will address CAN/K-line/UDS diagnostics, select components, define architecture and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet launch targets with quality and cost control.

Qualifications

• Experience in Agricultural/Construction Electrical & Electronics Design. EV experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of tractor geography and operation with different implements.
• Design and integration of electrical/electronic systems meeting time, cost and weight targets.
• Identify field failures and correlate with testing results.
• Prior tractor industry experience preferable.

Responsibilities

• Derive product specifications for electrical & electronic components from requirements.
• Design schematics, circuits and wiring harness considering DFA/DFS/DFM.
• Understand E&E homologation & safety standards, EMI/EMC knowledge.
• Knowledge of CAN, K-line, UDS, INCA, CANoe and diagnostics.
• Define E&E architecture and vehicle communication protocols.
• Select connectors, terminals and wiring peripherals.
• Coordinate development, testing and assembly of initial batches.
• Create value improvements and frugal tech to meet launch plan.
• Ensure product development cycle tracks time, cost, quality.
• Collaborate with suppliers & cross-functional teams for modular designs.

Role & responsibilities -

Product design

• Derive product specifications for various Electrical & Electronic components from requirements given by product planning.
• Experience in NX- 10, Teamcenter 11, Cap-H/Vesys, Autocad. Additionally, CREO knowledge will be an advantage.
• Experience in designing schematics, circuits and Wiring harness, in consideration with DFA/DFS/DFM.
• Basic knowledge on communication like CAN, K-line, UDS, INCA, CANOe & diagnostic system.
• Understanding of domestic and global- E&E homologation & legislation. Knowledge of Functional safety, EMI/EMC.
• Knowledge on Analog, digital signal, CAN signal and its interface requirements.
• Deriving the E&E architecture, Communication Protocols of vehicle including CRDe System with TREM IV & TREM V Emission.
• Selection of Connector, terminal, wire cross-sections and peripheral components.
• Knowledge on various trends, benchmarking data of automotive/ Off road electrical & electronics systems.
• Knowledge of different testing & simulation /design tools.
• Identify Failure mode in new design. Knowledge & Awareness of 7QC tools, DFMEA, DVP, 8D, etc.
• VA/ VE activities Creation of ideas & execution to realize the savings without compromising feature(s) and quality level of the parts.
• Co-ordination for development, testing & assembly of initial batches as per targeted launch plan.
• Create value enhancement to the existing and new products by conceptualizing customer needs & developing frugal technologies.
• Ensure that the product development cycle is followed to track delivery as per time, cost & quality targets.
• Bringing New perspective & technology which is compatible with Precision farming.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience in Agricultural/Construction Electrical & Electronics Design. EV experience will be added advantage.

• Basic knowledge about application of tractor in different geographies & tractor driving with different implements.
• Experience in NX-10, 3D harness routing and 2D drawing preparation & Teamcenter 11, Cap-H/Vesys, Autocad.
• Experience in Design, Development & integration of electrical and electronic system for the Projects/ Platforms, meeting time, quality, Cost, weight targets and integrate all the systems / features for the Projects.
• Exhibit understanding of possible field failures & be able to correlate the same with internal testing results.
• Experience in tractor industry preferable.

• Effectively collaborate the various CFTs and deliver the product to the necessary vehicle platforms
• Standardization of parts & approach for modular designs.
