Job summary

Speed Global in Pune, India seeks a piping design engineer with 2-3+ years of experience to support plant projects across industries.

You will perform calculations, prepare isometrics, P&ID-based designs, and coordinate with teams while following ASME/API standards and using AutoCAD Plant 3D, CadWorks, and Navisworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 2 to 3+ years of experience in piping design and engineering.
• Experience in plant projects across industries.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, API).
• Proficient with AutoCAD Plant 3D, Cad Works and AutoCAD.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations like pipe thickness and size.
• Prepare piping isometrics from layout drawings.
• Prepare piping design based on P&ID.
• Prepare electrical cable tray design.
• Read P&ID and prepare piping 3D.
• Read pipe stress analysis report.
• Extract BOM from isometric drawing.
• Prepare piping layout.
• Familiar with Navis model and clash test.
• Create P&ID based on input.
• Knowledge of equipment creation based on Equipment GA.
