Job summary

Mounee Consulting Services Private Limited in Shimla is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee installation, commissioning, and O&M of SCADA-enabled substations within the power transmission network. The role requires coordinating with utilities, consultants and vendors while leading on-site teams for reliable, secure SCADA solutions.

You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and system integrity, managing timelines and stakeholders across HV/EHV projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years in substation operations, maintenance, or construction.
• Strong knowledge of substation equipment, protection, SCADA, and automation technologies.
• Experience with high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) transmission systems.
• Familiarity with relay coordination, fault analysis, and power system stability.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement SCADA systems (Movicon, GE CIMPLICITY, Siemens WinCC, Wonderware or equivalent) at site.
• Installation and Commissioning (I&C), Testing, Training & Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of RTU, FRTU, LDMS, MPLS, etc
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEEE, IEC, NERC, OSHA, NFPA, and local regulations).
• Develop and implement safety procedures, risk assessments, and emergency response plans.
• Work with utilities, PMA (Consultant), SCADA Team and vendors for project execution and compliance.
• Work with site engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff.
• Prepare operational reports, performance analysis.
• Ensure adherence to cybersecurity protocols for substation automation and protection systems.
