Job summary

Topgear Consultants in India is seeking an experienced Project Engineer Instrumentation with strong expertise in instrumentation project execution and automation commissioning. The role focuses on instrumentation engineering, erection, commissioning, and coordinating with stakeholders at site.

You will read PFDs and P&IDs, review cable routing, perform loop checks and calibration, and supervise erection activities while coordinating with vendors and contractors to ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in instrumentation project execution and site commissioning.
• Hands-on with PLC/DCS, HMI/SCADA systems.
• Ability to read PFD, P&ID, GA and layouts.
• Knowledge of cable tray routing and JB schedules.
• Proficient in loop checks and calibration.
• Strong coordination with vendors, contractors and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute instrumentation projects including engineering, erection and commissioning.
• Handle automation commissioning and support PLC/DCS, HMI/SCADA systems.
• Read and interpret PFD, P&ID, GA and layout drawings.
• Review cable tray/cable routing, I/O assignment, and instrument hook-ups.
• Perform loop checking, instrument testing and calibration.
• Carry out logic checks and software commissioning.
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, manufacturers, contractors and site teams.
• Supervise instrumentation erection activities and monitor site progress.
