Job summary

Ascent Intellimation - PlantConnect is seeking an IIoT Project Engineer to lead installation, commissioning and support for PlantConnect across multiple applications. You will establish connectivity with PLCs, sensors, and equipment, configure PlantConnect and program PLC/HMI devices as part of the system.

You will interact with customer engineers on site, handle hardware, network and cabling setup, perform troubleshooting, train users, and document all activities.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical or equivalent.
• PLC, HMI programming courses.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and support PlantConnect for various applications and verticals.
• Establish connectivity of PlantConnect RTDAS with PLCs, sensors and equipment.
• Configure PlantConnect.
• Program PLC and HMI used with PlantConnect.
• Interact with customer engineers on site setup including hardware, network and cabling.
• Troubleshooting and training of users.
• Documentation related to above tasks.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by manager.

JobDescription:

IIoTProjectEngineer will be mainly responsible for following tasks:

• Installation, commissioning and support of PlantConnect for various applications and verticals
• Establish connectivity of PlantConnect RTDAS with various PLCs, smart sensors and other equipment
• Configuration of PlantConnect
• Programming of PLC and HMI used as part of PlantConnect
• Interactions with customer engineers related to site setup including hardware, network, cabling etc.
• Troubleshooting
• Training of users
• Documentation related to above tasks
• Any other tasks assigned by manager

Qualifications:

• Engineering graduate in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical or equivalent
• PLC, HMI programming courses

Skills :

• Hands‑on experience in connectivity with PLCs using communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, ISM mandatory
• Understanding of field cabling for RS485 and Ethernet communication
• PLC and HMI programming experience of at least one of these brands: Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, REPL, Delta
• Must have excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and reporting abilities
• Ability to build rapport with customer engineers and domain users

Experience:

• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
• Work experience in IIoT projects is highly desirable
