Job summary

Suzuki R&D Center India Private Limited in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, seeks an Electrical/Automation Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to review diagrams, commission MCCs and VFDs, and validate PLC/SCADA configurations for biogas-focused operations.

You will troubleshoot instrumentation, monitor power quality, optimize energy use, and lead maintenance programs while ensuring safety compliance and detailed reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Instrumentation & Control with specialization.
• 2–4 years in industrial electrical or control systems engineering.
• Mandatory Biogas/Effluent Treatment/Waste Management exposure.
• Proven commissioning experience for electrical & automation systems.
• Strong knowledge of power systems, motor control and automation architecture.
• Hands-on with PLCs and SCADA; able to read engineering diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Review single-line diagrams, control schematics and cable schedules.
• Inspect and commission MCCs, VFDs, transformers and switchgear.
• Validate PLC/SCADA configurations and test control logic.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation faults and calibrate sensors.
• Monitor power quality, harmonics and grounding; propose fixes.
• Analyze data to reduce energy consumption and penalties.
• Lead preventive maintenance including thermography and relay tests.
• Enforce safety practices, permits-to-work and incident investigations.
• Prepare electrical performance reports for senior management.

Job Responsibilities

• Review single-line diagrams, control schematics, cable schedules, and electrical load calculations for conformity
• Inspect and commission MCCs, VFDs, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution networks
• Validate PLC/SCADA configurations; develop and test control logic for feedstock dosing, biogas compression, and safety interlocks
• Troubleshoot instrumentation faults (pressure, temperature, flow sensors) and implement calibration protocols
• Monitor power quality, harmonics, and grounding performance; recommend corrective measures for voltage drops and transients
• Analyse operational data to optimize electrical energy consumption and reduce reactive power penalties
• Lead electrical preventive maintenance programs, including thermographic scanning and relay testing
• Enforce electrical safety practices, permit-to-work procedures, and incident investigation protocols
• Prepare comprehensive electrical performance reports and present recommendations to senior management

Software Knowledge

Key Skills/Competencies

• B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical / Instrumentation & Control Engineering
• Minimum 2+ years’ work experience in industrial electrical or control systems engineering at any processing / manufacturing plant; Mandatory experience in Biogas / Effluent Treatment / Waste Management.
• Demonstrated success in commissioning electrical & automation system
• Strong understanding of power systems, motor control & automation architecture; Hands-on experience with PLCs and SCADA platforms
• Proficiency in electrical design software & data-analysis tools
• Familiarity with relevant electrical safety standards
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for control loops and power electronics
• Excellent communication skills for technical reporting, cross-team coordination and vendor negotiation – vendor management
• Willingness to travel regularly for site assessments & commissioning support
