Job summary

Suzuki R&D Center India Pvt. Ltd. in Gandhinagar (Gujarat) seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead commissioning activities within the Biogas Engineering division. You will validate designs, inspect field equipment, and oversee corrective actions with third-party EPC contractors.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of fluid dynamics and rotating equipment, plus readiness to travel for site assessments and commissioning support.

Qualifications

• B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 2 years and up to 4 years of work experience at a processing/manufacturing plant; mandatory Biogas/ Effluent Treatment/ Waste Management experience.
• Hands-on experience with 3rd party EPC contractors, project management, mechanical commissioning.
• In-depth knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and rotating equipment design; proficiency with mechanical simulation tools.
• Familiarity with relevant mechanical safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills for technical reporting, cross-team coordination and vendor negotiations – vendor management.
• Willingness to travel regularly for site assessments & commissioning support.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude, conceptual thinking, analytical ability, creativity, learnability.

• Diagnose equipment failures or performance shortfalls; recommend technical solutions and oversee implementation.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies; optimize lubrication, alignment, and vibration monitoring programs.
• Analyse operational data to identify mechanical bottlenecks, energy losses, and throughput limitations.
• Collaborate with teams to enforce mechanical safety standards, lockout-tagout procedures, and incident root-cause investigations.
• Prepare detailed mechanical performance reports and present findings to senior management.
