Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an OpenBlue field technician in Mumbai to support field execution, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of building systems.

You will review layouts and specs, assist in system integration, and ensure projects meet timelines and safety standards. Ideal candidates have an engineering background with field experience and a working knowledge of system configurations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) with minimum 1 year of relevant experience OR Diploma / 2-year technical degree with minimum 6 years of relevant field experience OR Equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
• Experience: Exposure to field execution, system implementation, or maintenance activities.
• Understanding of system integration and configuration is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform field execution activities including installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of systems under supervision.
• Support intermediate-level design activities, including reviewing system layouts, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Participate in project delivery by assisting in system integration, configuration, and optimization activities.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols during execution.
• Provide technical support in resolving onsite issues and ensuring smooth system functionality.
• Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance activities as part of O&M support.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders for effective project execution.
• Maintain proper documentation of site activities, reports, and system changes.
