Job summary

Tata Consulting Engineers Limited in Navi Mumbai seeks a Design Engineer - Transportation with 10-14 years of experience in planning, design and review of transportation infrastructure. You will lead road/highway design, junction design, and traffic forecasting across projects including metro bid reviews.

You will ensure compliance with IRC/MORTH/PWD standards while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with government agencies and consultants.

Qualifications

• B Tech Civil and M.Tech in Transportation Engineering is required.
• 10–14 years of experience in planning, design and review of transportation infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in road/highway design and junction/intersection design.
• Experience in metro project bid reviews and PWD projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Road, OpenRoads Designer or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design and review roads, highways, urban streets, and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and verify geometric designs, pavement layouts, and highway improvement proposals.
• Conduct traffic studies, traffic forecasting, capacity analysis, and traffic management planning.
• Design and evaluate at-grade and grade-separated junctions/intersections.
• Review proposals, tender documents, and bid submissions for metro and transportation projects.
• Coordinate with government agencies, consultants, and stakeholders for approvals.
• Ensure compliance with IRC, MORTH, PWD standards.
• Support DPR preparation, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering activities.
• Provide technical guidance to design teams and mentor junior engineers.

Purpose & Scope of Position

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer - Transportation with 10-14 years of experience in the planning, design, and review of transportation infrastructure projects. The candidate should possess strong expertise in road and highway design, junction/intersection design, traffic estimation and management, and experience in metro project bid reviews and PWD projects.

Experience

7 to 12 years of experience in relevant design discipline

Key Responsibilities
