Purpose & Scope of Position

The Project Engineer (PE) will be part of an engineering stream providing engineering services to large and small projects. The PE provides support to the Project Manager (PM) and Engineering Manager (EM) and is responsible for supervising a team of working engineer and designers. The PE provides leadership and assists in the resolution of all technical issues related to the discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Highway & Geometric Design

• Lead the geometric design of highways, expressways, urban roads, interchanges, flyovers, service roads, and intersections.
• Prepare horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, junction layouts, and road improvement schemes.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with IRC, MoRTH, NHAI, and international standards.
• Evaluate design alternatives and recommend optimal engineering solutions.

Pavement Engineering

• Develop flexible and rigid pavement designs based on traffic studies and geotechnical data.
• Review pavement performance requirements and rehabilitation strategies.
• Coordinate with geotechnical and materials engineering teams for pavement design inputs.

Design Coordination

• Coordinate with structural, traffic, geotechnical, survey, utility, and environmental disciplines.
• Review design submissions from consultants and subcontractors.
• Resolve design interface issues and ensure consistency across project deliverables.
• Attend client meetings and technical discussions.

Design Documentation

• Prepare and review: -- Feasibility Studies -- Detailed Project Reports (DPR) -- Design Basis Reports -- Technical Specifications -- Drawings and Tender Documents -- BOQs and Quantity Estimates
• Ensure timely submission of design deliverables in line with project schedules.
