Job summary

Gulf Asia Engineering And Projects is seeking a senior Project/Field Engineer to lead brownfield modifications and oversee field execution on Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, and Chemical projects.

Role requires coordinating across Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil & Structural, Electrical and Instrumentation. Strong site collaboration, documentation review, and change management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech (First Class) in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, or any core engineering discipline.
• Master's Degree will be an added advantage.
• PMP/AACE/APM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering deliverables with site/field teams and other disciplines.
• Review and coordinate drawings, specifications, technical queries and site requirements.
• Handle site engineering issues, field changes, RFIs and design changes; manage engineering interfaces.
• Ensure IFC and construction drawings align with site conditions and execution needs.
• Support project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and follow-up with engineering teams.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, contractors and vendors.

Job Requirements

• Strong experience in Project Engineering / Field Engineering for Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Chemical or Industrial projects.
• Hands-on experience in Brownfield projects / Field Engineering is highly preferred.
• Experience in execution of brownfield modifications, revamp, debottlenecking, plant modification, expansion, shutdown/turnaround or tie-in projects will be an advantage.
• Strong exposure to multidisciplinary engineering activities involving Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil & Structural, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines.
• Experience coordinating engineering activities between site/field teams, engineering disciplines, construction, procurement, project controls, clients, vendors and contractors.
• Ability to review and coordinate engineering deliverables, drawings, specifications, technical queries and site requirements.
• Experience in handling site engineering issues, field changes, technical queries, RFIs, design changes and engineering interfaces.
• Good understanding of IFC drawings, construction drawings, engineering deliverables and field execution requirements.
• Experience in coordinating engineering deliverables with actual site conditions.
• Good knowledge of project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and engineering follow-up.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with clients, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Required Qualifications

Required Experience

• 10-15 years of experience in Project Engineering within EPC, Detailed Engineering, or PMC organizations.
• Experience in Field Engineering / Brownfield Engineering is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering coordination.
• Experience in project planning, scheduling, interface management, and engineering execution.
• Middle East/GCC project experience will be an added advantage.
