Isgec Heavy Engineering in India seeks a Project Engineer with 7-12 years of experience to manage press projects from concept to execution. You will advise on hydraulic and mechanical presses, plan production schedules, monitor progress, and coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely delivery.

This role involves procurement, shipping coordination with logistics, handling RFQs, and ensuring compliance with deadlines and costs.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of various types of presses (hydraulic, mechanical).
  • Knowledge of press operations (forming, blanking, drawing, piercing, coining).
  • Determines project schedule by studying job manufacturing process and calculating time requirements; submits schedules to client.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring progress and coordinating activities.
  • Interacts daily with clients to interpret needs and represent them in the field.
  • Maintains effective communication with internal staff and clients.
  • Keeps good records for reuse in future projects.
  • Follows up with client for design approvals and payments at various intervals.
  • Resolves open issues during project execution with client and internally.
  • Coordinates customer site visits for inspections and resolves issues reported by client.
  • Monitors developments at client end and devises strategy to avoid delays after job readiness.
  • Procurement of imported items needed for press assembly.
  • Coordinates shipping with logistics team and client.
  • Prepares RFQs and obtains orders through the purchasing department.

Project Engineer
Key responsibilities of a Project Engineer:
  • Knowledge of various type of presses i.e. Hydraulic, mechanical etc.
  • Knowledge of press operations i.e. forming, blanking, drawing, piercing, coining etc.
  • Determines project schedule by studying job manufacturing process and calculating time requirements based on the work load and standard time period required for manufacturing of a job. Submission of multiple project schedules to client on regular intervals.
  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, resolving problems. Raise alarm whenever required to avoid delays in project schedule.
  • Understanding of Project deadlines importance and cost.
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
  • Effective communication with all internal staff as well as with customers.
  • To keep good records which can be useful while execution of other projects also.
  • To keep follow up with client for design approval, payment realizations due at various intervals of project execution.
  • Resolution of all open issues during execution of a projects internally as well as with client.
  • Coordinating the visit of customer for Inspection & resolving issues reported by client during inspection.
  • Monitoring developments at clients end & devising strategy for the project under execution to avoid any hold up after readiness of job.
  • Procurement of imported items required in a press for its assembly.
