Job summary

Idex in Vadodara is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and monitor pump projects from order receipt to commissioning, ensuring schedule adherence and contract compliance.

The role requires reviewing technical specifications for API, ISO, ASME, and food-grade standards, selecting materials and sealing systems for corrosive and hygienic applications, and preparing project documentation and FATs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor pump projects from order receipt to commissioning, ensuring schedule and contract adherence.
• Review technical specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards like API, ISO, ASME, and food-grade regulations.
• Validate materials (SS316L, duplex, specialty alloys) and sealing systems for corrosive, hygienic, and critical applications.
• Prepare and review GA drawings, datasheets, quality plans, ITPs, and project reports.
• Manage suppliers for motors, seals, and long-lead items to ensure timely delivery and technical compliance.
• Oversee quality audits and FATs to meet client and regulatory standards.
• Identify technical, commercial, and schedule risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Act as the primary interface for customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and issue resolution.
• Work with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and QA to achieve project goals.
• Track key project milestones and provide regular status updates to management and clients.

• Material & Sealing Selection: Validate materials (SS316L, duplex, specialty alloys) and sealing systems for corrosive, hygienic, and critical applications.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and review GA drawings, datasheets, quality plans, ITPs, and project reports.
• Vendor Coordination: Manage suppliers for motors, seals, and long-lead items to ensure timely delivery and technical compliance.
• Quality & Inspections: Oversee quality audits and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to meet client and regulatory standards.
• Risk Management: Identify technical, commercial, and schedule risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary interface for customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and issue resolution.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and QA to achieve project goals.
• Progress Monitoring: Track key project milestones and provide regular status updates to management and clients.
