Job summary

VSL Ventures Pvt. Ltd. seeks an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to lead end-to-end electrical project execution, from survey and planning to commissioning and handover.

You will conduct site surveys, prepare BOQ and execution plans, and oversee HT/LT underground cabling and solar PV installations. The role requires hands-on knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems, RMUs, transformers, SCADA/PLC-related equipment, and strong coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in electrical project execution.
• Strong experience in Solar EPC and Power Distribution projects.
• Hands-on knowledge of HT/LT systems, underground cabling and electrical commissioning.
• Experience with solar modules, inverters, ACDB/DCDB, transformers, HT panels, RMUs and SCADA/PLC-related systems.
• Good understanding of BOQ, drawings, billing, JMC, contractor management and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electrical project execution from survey and planning through commissioning and handover.
• Conduct technical/site surveys, route surveys and identify site-specific electrical requirements.
• Prepare and coordinate approval of electrical drawings, BOQ and project execution plans.
• Execute HT/LT underground cable laying including 33KV, 11KV and LT systems through micro-tunnelling, jack-push and open-trench methods.
• Handle installation, testing and commissioning of RMUs, transformers, HT panels, VCBs, feeder pillars and other electrical equipment
• Execute solar PV projects, including module installation, DC/AC cabling, inverter, ACDB/DCDB, transformer, HT panel and earthing systems.
• Supervise testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and ensure compliance with approved technical specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and site teams for smooth project execution.
• Review and approve drawings, resolve technical/site issues and manage deviations in coordination with the client.
• Monitor Field Quality Plans (FQP) and ensure adherence to project specifications and applicable guidelines.
• Prepare daily progress reports, project documentation and handing-over dossiers.
• Coordinate JMC certification, client billing and contractor bill certification, including material reconciliation.
• Liaise with local authorities for ROW and other site-related issues.
• Manage contractors/sub-contractors, monitor productivity and support quantity/PO reconciliation.
• Provide technical support to installation and project teams and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
