Job summary

Hiring Point Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to lead site execution for construction projects. You will plan, supervise and deliver electrical works at site, ensuring quality, safety and compliance with drawings and specs.

The role requires hands-on expertise in HT/LT power distribution, LV/MV panels, transformers, DG sets, cable laying and coordination with other MEP teams. You will manage progress, QA/QC and handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in electrical site execution for construction projects.
• Ability to plan, supervise and execute electrical works per approved drawings and specs.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and timely project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and execute electrical works at construction project sites as per drawings and specifications.
• Manage day-to-day execution of HT/LT electrical installation and power distribution systems.
• Execute installation of LT/HT panels, transformers, DG sets, MDB/SMDB/DBs and electrical equipment.
• Supervise cable laying, cable tray, trunking, conduit and wiring works.
• Execute lighting, power distribution, earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Coordinate installation of electrical shafts, risers, bus ducts and electrical services as per project requirements.
• Read and interpret SLDs, electrical layouts, shop drawings and technical specifications.
• Check site measurements and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings.
• Coordinate with civil, HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting and other MEP teams to avoid service clashes.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, consultants and client representatives for smooth execution.
• Monitor manpower, material availability and daily work progress at site.
• Conduct inspections and ensure proper installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, inspection requests, checklists and site documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspection, testing and quality compliance.
• Identify site issues, technical deviations and drawing discrepancies and coordinate for timely resolution.
• Monitor electrical material consumption and ensure proper utilization at site.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with approved method statements, specifications and safety standards.
• Assist in preparation and submission of as-built drawings, test reports and handover documentation.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure electrical activities are completed within the planned timelines.
