Job summary

Nextracker seeks a Project Engineer to support utility-scale solar PV projects from development through construction. Based in Hyderabad, you will collaborate with design and structural engineers to optimize project layouts and ensure standards are met.

You will create AutoCAD layouts, perform slope analyses, and compile BOMs while coordinating across multiple projects globally. Strong CAD skills and 2–3 years’ CAD detailing experience are required.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/BS in Civil or Mechanical with 2-3 years’ experience
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and Civil-3D
• Experience in CAD detailing for construction or solar projects preferred
• Strong drafting and detailing standards, good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Create AutoCAD layouts for Solar Power Plants using NX tracker design
• Perform slope analysis and generate slope maps with site contours
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and use templates/guidelines for drawings

Make your mark with Nextracker. The Project Engineer will be based in Hyderabad. In this position, you will report to the Project Engineering Manager. The candidate would be working on utility scale solar PV projects located around the globe, right from the development stage to construction support. Candidate will also be working with other design engineers & structural engineers to propose the best possible project design. Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…

• Create AutoCAD layouts for Solar Power Plants using NX tracker design
• Perform Slope analysis
• Generating Slope Map with the site Contours using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Prepare Bill of Material
• Use templates and guidelines to create layouts and drawings

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…

• Through knowledge of AutoCAD 2D commands or any other equivalent CAD environment.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to prepare structural part drawings as per standards
• At least 3+ years of experience in CAD detailing in construction industry.
• Experience in solar industry is preferred but not compulsory
• Good knowledge on drafting and detailing standards
• Very good communication skills

• BE/B Tech/BS degree in Civil / Mechanical with 2-3 years’ experience
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2D
• Working level knowledge of AutoCAD Civil-3D
• Optional knowledge of PVSyst, L-Pile, Staad Pro
