Job summary

Visual Citi is seeking a capable Project Manager to lead Retail Displays and Visual Merchandising initiatives in Mumbai. You will plan projects, coordinate vendors, manage budgets, and ensure timely installations while maintaining quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in project management, a mechanical engineering background, strong English communication, and a proven ability to handle multiple projects under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Project Management / Coordination with outsourcing and vendor management.
• Bachelor's degree – Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication in English and time-management skills; adaptable to fast-paced environments.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Project Planning and Management: Develop project plans, set timelines, and allocate resources effectively to meet client objectives and deadlines.
• Data & Records Maintenance: Demonstrated computer proficiency with a proven track record of managing project documentation, creating project timelines and maintaining and fulfilling them and maintaining clear project communications.
• Vendor Coordination: Identify and onboard external vendors, negotiate and ensure their work aligns with project requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact between design teams, production units and clients, ensuring smooth communication and operations.
• Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability without compromising quality.
• Installation Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal team and external install team, ensuring timely installs and competitive pricing.
• Compliance: Ensure all projects meet industry standards, local regulations, and safety guidelines.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3+ years of experience in Project Management / Coordination, outsourcing and vendor management specific to the Retail Displays and Visual Merchandising industry.
• Bachelors degree – (preferably Mechanical Engineering)
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing brand strategies.
• Excellent communication in English, and time management skills, with adaptability to fast-paced environments and strong ethical conduct
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
