Job summary

Persistent Systems in Pune seeks a Senior ITSM Practitioner to lead the technical sales process and solution design for ServiceNow, FreshWorks, BMC, SolarWinds, ManageEngine and related ITSM engagements. You will bridge business needs and technology solutions with sales, delivery teams and clients to architect scalable, value-driven services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 15–17 years IT service delivery experience with 5+ years CloudOps for SaaS/ERP.
• Proven global team management (onsite/offshore) and 24x7 operations.
• Strong AWS/Azure cloud arch, networking and DevOps/SRE practices; ITIL/Agile/SRE.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end CloudOps delivery for a global SaaS ERP environment.
• Define SLAs, OLAs and KPIs; drive automation and service excellence.
• Oversee CI/CD, IaC, observability, and security/compliance programs.
• Mentor a distributed CloudOps team and report to executive stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 20+ years of IT service delivery experience, with at least 5 years managing Cloud Operations for SaaS or ERP platforms.
• Proven experience managing global teams (onsite/offshore) and 24x7 operations.
• Strong understanding of AWS/Azure cloud architecture, networking, and DevOps/SRE practices.
• Solid grasp of ITIL, Agile, and SRE-based operations frameworks.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Azure Solutions Architect / ITIL Expert / PMP / SRE certification.
• Experience in ERP platforms will be added advantage(e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, or custom SaaS ERP solutions)
• Exposure to FinOps practices for cloud cost optimization

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Service Delivery Leadership
• Own end-to-end CloudOps delivery and operations for a global SaaS ERP customer environment hosted across multiple cloud regions.
• Lead a distributed team of CloudOps engineers, SREs, DevOps specialists, and service managers ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Define and manage SLAs, OLAs, and KPIs to meet or exceed contractual commitments.
• Drive service excellence, continuous improvement, and automation in all operational processes.
• Establish and run governance frameworks – operational reviews, steering committees, and performance dashboards.
• Technical & Operational Management
• Oversee cloud infrastructure management (AWS, Alibaba, IBM) including provisioning, monitoring, cost optimization, and capacity planning.
• Ensure robust incident, problem, and change management practices following ITIL or SRE principles.
• Lead disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and high availability designs.
• Partner with customer engineering teams on CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and observability frameworks.
• Maintain compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (ISO, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
• Stakeholder & Relationship Management
• Act as the primary point of contact for senior customer stakeholders on all operational and delivery matters.
• Build trusted advisory relationships through proactive communication, transparency, and value delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Solutions, Finance) for contract renewals, new initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
• Lead and mentor a globally distributed CloudOps team.
