Job summary

Sumo India, based in Pune, seeks experienced programmers to join our game development teams. You will work from the Pune studio, collaborating with teams across India and the UK to build games for console, PC and mobile.

You’ll contribute to high-quality code, work with designers to implement features, and ensure platforms' technical requirements are met. Prior shipped titles and multi-engine experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in C++ with 3D programming and mathematics.
• Experience in game development with current generation engines (UE5, Unity, CryEngine, Source).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Worked on at least one released game and experience with multiple current gen engines (UE5, Unity, CryEngine, Source).
• Experience working with source control systems.

Responsibilities

• Write and be accountable for high-quality source code.
• Collaborate with designers to implement game features to specifications.
• Liaise with QA to fix bugs.
• Ensure compliance with each platform owner's technical requirements.

Job Requirements

Must have skills

• Proficiencyin C++, with proven commercial experience.
• Practical experience with 3D programming and mathematics.
• Working experience in gamedevelopment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Worked on at least one released game and experience withmultiplecurrent generationgameengines(UE5, Unity,CryEngine, Sourceetc.).
• Experienceworkingwithsource control systems.

It would be great if you also have:

• 3-5 years’ experience in the games industry.
• Contributedto shipped titles on console games.
• C#,JavaScriptor Python programmingexperience.
• Graphics systems (3D graphics, animation, camera control, lighting,materialsand shaders)knowhow.
• Experienceworkingas perguidelines for the relevantgameplatforms.
• Knowledge of the requirements placed on gameplay code by a multiplayer networked game.
