Job summary

Faurecia India is seeking a Program Manufacturing Engineer to lead customer programs from kickoff to production launch. You will translate customer requirements into manufacturing instructions, coordinating with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, Planning, Maintenance and Supply Chain to meet QCD goals.

The role emphasizes NPI, ECN/ECR, and rigorous documentation; you will manage timelines, track milestones, and provide regular project status updates to management.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and project coordination.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, and New Product Development processes.
  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR).
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project (preferred).
  • 3+ Years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Job Purpose

The Program Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing customer programs from project initiation through successful production launch. The role ensures that customer requirements are translated into manufacturing execution by coordinating with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, Planning, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to achieve Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Program Management
  • Manage assigned customer programs from project kick-off to successful production launch.
  • Develop and monitor project timelines, milestones, and action plans.
  • Track program status and ensure timely completion of all deliverables.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase, Planning, Tool Room, Maintenance, and Supply Chain for seamless project execution.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings and ensure timely closure of action items.
  • Escalate critical issues affecting project timelines with mitigation plans.
Customer Interface
  • Act as the primary coordination point for customer-related to ME activities.
  • Ensure timely communication regarding project status, engineering changes, and delivery commitments.
  • Support customer visits, audits, and technical discussions.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Coordinate prototype development, trial production, and production readiness.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes, tooling, documentation, and quality requirements are completed before SOP.
  • Monitor first-off approvals and production stabilization.
Engineering Change Management
  • Coordinate implementation of Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
  • Ensure all processing documents, BOMs, drawings, and production instructions are updated before implementation.
Risk & Issue Management
  • Identify project risks proactively and prepare mitigation plans.
  • Monitor critical issues affecting Quality, Cost, or Delivery and drive timely resolution.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain project schedules, customer trackers, meeting minutes, and action logs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly program status reports for management review.
  • Ensure all project documentation is maintained and controlled.
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and project coordination.
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, and New Product Development processes.
  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR).
