Job description

Program Manager – Arts, Technology & Communities

Job Type: Hybrid / Remote

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Program Manager who loves bringing ambitious ideas into the world.

You’ll lead a portfolio of programs that sit at the intersection of AI, art, culture, research and community engagement. One week you might be coordinating an international residency, the next launching a public workshop, supporting an artist using AI, managing relationships with cultural institutions, or helping deliver a global research collaboration.

This role is for someone who enjoys both strategy and execution. You’ll work closely with founders, researchers, artists, engineers and international partners to turn ideas into well‑run, high‑impact programs.

What You’ll Do

Lead the planning and delivery of creative technology programs from concept to completion.

Manage international partnerships with universities, museums, NGOs, foundations and cultural organisations.

Coordinate artists, researchers, facilitators, technologists and community partners.

Develop project timelines, budgets and delivery plans.

Oversee workshops, exhibitions, public events, fellowships and research programs.

Keep multiple projects moving simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Support grant‑funded initiatives, reporting and impact documentation.

Build operational systems that help programs scale.

Work with the communications team to share stories, document outcomes and amplify impact.

Travel occasionally within India and internationally when required.

Requirements

Has 4–6 years of experience managing complex programs, partnerships or cultural initiatives.

  • Creative technology
  • Design
  • Research
  • Social impact
  • Civic technology

Is an exceptional organiser who enjoys making complex projects run smoothly.

Can comfortably engage with artists, academics, funders, engineers and community organisations.

Writes clearly and communicates confidently.

Thrives in fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environments.

Is curious about AI and excited by its creative and social possibilities.

Bonus Points
  • International cultural collaborations
  • Residency or fellowship programs
  • Participatory research
  • Design research
  • AI or emerging technologies
  • Open‑source communities
  • Documentation, storytelling or publishing
Why This Role Is Different

This isn’t a traditional operations role.

You’ll help shape projects that explore how AI can expand creativity, strengthen communities and enable new forms of participation. You’ll collaborate with artists, librarians, educators, researchers, governments and international organisations to build programs that matter.

If you enjoy moving between strategy, logistics, people and ideas—and want your work to have cultural as well as technological impact—we’d love to hear from you.
