About the Role
Masters Union is looking for a Program Manager Academic Operations to own the end-to-end execution of academic programmes and lead a team of Assistant Program Managers and Academic Coordinators.
The role requires strong program management, team leadership, stakeholder management, process excellence, and student experience capabilities. You will work closely with faculty, students, leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless academic delivery at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Management & Academic Delivery
- Own end-to-end academic program operations including academic calendars, scheduling, term planning and closures.
- Ensure LMS readiness, course structure accuracy and seamless session execution.
- Manage mid-term and end-term assessments including exams, vivas, grading workflows and result consolidation.
- Identify operational risks proactively and drive timely resolution.
- Ensure adherence to academic policies, processes and codes of conduct.
- Lead student NPS cycles and convert feedback into actionable improvements.
2. Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of Assistant Program Managers and Academic Coordinators.
- Define ownership, priorities, KPIs and turnaround times for the team.
- Drive productivity, quality and process adherence.
- Coach and mentor team members through regular feedback and capability-building initiatives.
- Build a culture of accountability, SOP adherence and operational excellence.
3. Stakeholder & Student Management
- Work closely with faculty, leadership and cross-functional teams for smooth program delivery.
- Coordinate faculty scheduling and planning requirements.
- Oversee student-facing communication and escalation management.
- Ensure clear, timely and consistent communication with students.
4. Process Excellence & Automation
- Build and improve SOPs, trackers, workflows and operational processes.
- Identify opportunities for standardisation, automation and process optimisation.
- Build scalable systems to support increasing program complexity.
Candidate Profile
- 4 - 8 years of experience in Program Management, Academic Operations, Education, EdTech or high-growth startups.
- Prior team management experience is mandatory.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working with faculty, leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Strong ownership and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and structured problem-solving ability.
- Experience in process design, SOP creation and operational execution.
- Strong communication and student/customer management skills.
- Comfortable working in an on-campus, high-ownership environment.
