Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a Senior Project Manager with 14+ years of IT services experience to oversee large-scale enterprise projects using Agile methods. You will drive governance, stakeholder and delivery management, and executive reporting across distributed teams.

Expertise in proposals/RFPs, client engagement, and Java or .NET is required. Location in Bangalore, with end-to-end project execution covering planning, estimation, tracking, risk management, and governance.

Job description

We are looking for Senior Project Manager with 14+ years of experience in IT Services, responsible for managing large-scale enterprise projects using Agile methodologies. Strong expertise in project governance, stakeholder management, delivery management, risk management, and executive reporting. Must have experience in proposals/RFPs, client engagement, and managing large distributed teams. Technical background in Java or .NET is mandatory. Location

Bangalore (BLR). Manage and deliver large-scale enterprise IT projects/programs across multiple teams and stakeholders. Drive end-to-end project execution, including planning, estimation, tracking, risk management, and delivery governance. Establish strong project governance frameworks, conduct steering committee reviews, and provide executive-level reporting. Lead Agile project delivery, including Scrum ceremonies, release planning, sprint management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with clients, business stakeholders, engineering teams, and leadership to ensure successful project outcomes. Own project financials, resource planning, utilization, budget tracking, and delivery KPIs. Support RFPs, proposals, solutioning discussions, effort estimation, and customer presentations for new business opportunities. Drive delivery excellence, quality assurance, compliance, and process improvements across engagements. Mentor project managers, scrum masters, and delivery teams.14+ years of overall IT experience with significant experience managing large-scale application development and transformation programs. Strong Agile delivery experience (Scrum/Kanban/Scaled Agile frameworks). Proven experience in Project Governance, Stakeholder Management, Risk & Issue Management, and Executive Reporting. Hands-on experience in Proposal Management, RFP responses, Solution Reviews, and Estimation.Strong client-facing experience within IT Services organizations. Experience managing distributed/global teams. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Prior hands-on development experience in Java/J2EE or .NET Technologies. Ability to engage effectively with architects, engineering leads, and technical stakeholders. PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile Certifications (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP) preferred. Experience handling multi-million-dollar programs and large delivery teams.
