Job summary

Lonza in Hyderabad, India, seeks a Professional IT Application Expert for Sales & Operations Planning solutions (SAP IBP, SAP APO PPDS, OMP). The role is office-first with approx. 20% remote work and involves global collaboration across planning functions.

You will design and implement planning solutions, lead configurations, testing, data migration, and user training while ensuring GMP-compliant delivery and adherence to global standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP IBP, SAP APO PPDS, or OMP planning solutions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions in planning domains.
• Understanding of demand, supply and production planning processes.
• Experience in regulated environments (GMP/GxP) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as IT Business Partner supporting SAP IBP, SAP APO PPDS, and OMP across global planning functions.
• Design and implement demand, supply, and production planning solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Collaborate with global business stakeholders, SMEs, and cross-functional IT teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
• Lead system configuration, functional design, testing, data migration, and user training activities.
• Ensure adherence to global standards, governance frameworks, and GMP compliance requirements.
• Provide third-level support for complex incidents and resolve critical system issues.
• Mentor external consultants and contribute to continuous improvements, analytics and adoption of new technologies.

Professional IT Application Expert – Sales and Operations Planning (SAP IBP, SAP APO PPDS, OMP)

The actual location of this job is in Hyderabad, India.

Join our Global IT Center of Excellence team as an IT Application Expert supporting Sales & Operations Planning solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge SAP planning technologies, enabling global demand, supply, and production planning processes while driving digital transformation across the organization.

This is an office-first role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and team alignment, enabling us to deliver our best work. You will work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for 20% of your time (one day per week).

What you will do:

What we are looking for:

• Strong experience in SAP IBP, SAP APO PPDS, and/or OMP planning solutions.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions in supply chain planning domains.
• Solid understanding of demand planning, supply planning, and production planning processes.
• Experience working in regulated environments (GMP/GxP) is preferred.
• Degree in Engineering or a related field; additional business qualifications are an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills in a global environment.
• Self-driven, accountable, and motivated individual with a continuous improvement mindset.
