Chubb India is seeking a Products & Platforms Lead to drive strategy, lifecycle management, and engineering delivery for core insurance technology platforms. You will steer platform governance, collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, product, and technology teams, and partner with vendors to modernise and scale capabilities across P&C and related lines.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Products & Platforms Lead who understands insurance at its core and can translate that domain knowledge into technology platform decisions. You will lead the strategy, lifecycle management, and engineering delivery of Chubb's core insurance technology platforms — covering underwriting, rating, policy administration, and associated product engines. You sit at the intersection of insurance domain expertise and platform technology, owning how core insurance platforms are governed, evolved, and modernised to support Chubb's North America business. Internal candidates with deep Chubb platform knowledge are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product and platform strategy for Chubb's core insurance technology platforms — underwriting, rating, policy administration, and product configuration engines.
• Define platform roadmaps aligned to business priorities: product launches, market expansion, regulatory changes, and technology modernisation.
• Lead vendor and partner management for insurance packaged platforms (e.g. Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or equivalent); govern upgrade cycles, licensing, and contractual obligations.
• Drive platform governance: version management, configuration standards, integration patterns, lifecycle controls, and technical debt management.
• Partner with underwriting, actuarial, product, and technology leaders to translate business requirements into platform capabilities and configuration.
• Identify and drive opportunities to leverage AI in core insurance platform operations — intelligent rating, automated underwriting assistance, data-driven product configuration, and claims triage.
• Govern platform integrations across the insurance technology estate: policy, billing, claims, reinsurance, and distribution systems.
• Build and lead a team of platform engineers and product owners; develop deep platform expertise and insurance domain knowledge within the team.
• Engage with global architecture and technology leadership to ensure platforms align with enterprise standards and modernisation strategy.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong insurance domain knowledge — underwriting, rating, policy administration, claims, and insurance product lifecycle across P&C, Specialty, or A&H lines.
• Experience managing or implementing core insurance technology platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, FINEOS, or equivalent).
• Understanding of insurance product configuration, rating factors, underwriting rules engines, and actuarial data requirements.
• Technology leadership experience: ability to define platform strategy and govern complex, multi-system programmes across vendors and internal teams.
• Exposure to AI and analytics applications in insurance — intelligent underwriting, predictive rating, automated decisioning, and claims automation.
• Strong stakeholder management: ability to work effectively across underwriting, actuarial, product, and technology leadership at senior levels.
• Programme management and vendor governance experience in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 15+ years in insurance technology, with strong domain depth across underwriting, rating, or policy administration platforms.
