Job summary

Chubb India is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Digital Enablement & Lifecycle Services pillar. You will build and lead teams delivering automation, integration, and lifecycle management across the technology estate, driving AI-native engineering across the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers building digital enablement platforms, automation services, and lifecycle management capabilities.
• Own the engineering roadmap for process automation, workflow orchestration, and digital transformation programmes within the NA CI estate.
• Drive AI-native engineering across the full SDLC — from requirements parsing and intelligent code generation to automated testing, deployment observability, and agentic automation.
• Deliver scalable integration and automation services connecting core insurance systems, third-party platforms, and digital channels.
• Partner with architects, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate transformation objectives into engineering outcomes with measurable business impact.
• Embed DevSecOps standards as default practice: CI/CD pipelines, security scanning, infrastructure-as-code, and automated release management.
• Own sprint quality, release cadence, and technical debt trade-offs across the digital enablement portfolio.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging AI engineering tools — coding assistants, intelligent test generation, agentic workflow frameworks — and embed them into team practice.
• Build and sustain a high-performance engineering team culture: psychological safety, ownership, and continuous learning.
• Hire, onboard, and develop engineering talent; contribute to the Chubb India Digital engineering brand.

Role Overview

We are looking for an Engineering Manager who leads the Digital Enablement pillar — the engineering foundation that powers automation, process transformation, integration services, and lifecycle management across Chubb's technology estate. You will build and lead teams that make digital transformation real: replacing manual processes with intelligent, automated workflows; enabling seamless service integration across complex systems; and ensuring the engineering delivery lifecycle is fast, reliable, and AI-augmented. Candidates from hi-tech product companies, BFSI, or enterprise software backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

What We Are Looking For

• Strong engineering background in Java, .NET, or equivalent enterprise stacks; comfortable reading and reviewing code across the stack.
• Demonstrated experience delivering digital transformation, process automation, or workflow orchestration platforms in complex enterprise environments.
• Hands-on AI tool adoption: GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted testing, or agentic workflow tools embedded into team practice — not experimented with.
• Cloud-native development expertise (Azure or AWS): microservices, event-driven architecture, API design, and containerization.
• Experience from hi-tech product companies, BFSI, or enterprise software environments with delivery at meaningful scale.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience in agile, high-velocity delivery environments.
• Exposure to integration platforms (MuleSoft, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or equivalent) and enterprise automation frameworks is a strong advantage.
