Job summary

Apexon in Bengaluru seeks a Production Support Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to maintain high availability in a fast-paced fintech environment. You will script in Python or Bash and support business-facing applications.

Responsibilities include monitoring batch jobs, setting up alerts, and troubleshooting incidents under pressure while collaborating with Dev, QA and business teams to improve reliability. Strong SQL and Unix skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of production support experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced production support environment.
• Fintech support experience preferred.
• Knowledge of capital markets and order management preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve high-availability issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive production application checkouts.
• Set up alerts and monitor batch jobs in large-scale systems.
• Troubleshoot incidents and escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with Dev/QA/Business teams to improve reliability.
• Write and parse production logs using SQL and Unix commands.

Job description

We are hiring production support Engineer:-

Experience: 3 to 5 years

Mode- 5 Days work from Office

Location- Bangalore

• Scripting in Python, Bash or similar language
• Working experience in a fast paced production support environment preferably business facing

fintech support preferred

• Basic Understanding of Capital markets, order management and downstream processes preferred
• Great communication skills
• Strong desire to understand the business and self-motivated approach in learning the new systems
• Proven ability in doing the extensive production application checkouts ,alert setup and monitoring ,batch-job monitoring in large-scale systems
• Ability to think critically ,make decision under pressure during Incident calls , troubleshoot ,resolve and escalat system issues as needed to maintain high availability
• Collaborate with Dev Team / QA and Business team to improve system reliability and efficiency
• Good experience in writing SQL queries ,Unix commands to troubleshoot and parse production logs

Desired Experience:

Familiarity with i.e writing Slang scripts / raising slang change reviews /troubleshooting slang code base

Knowledge of FIX messaging protocol

Working in equities cash markets and trading systems

Writing C++, Python, Java, Javascript
