Job summary

JobItUs is seeking an experienced Production Manager to plan and supervise daily production schedules across multiple stages of manufacturing in Vadodara. The role ensures GMP/SOP compliance, optimal resource utilization, and timely product releases.

Responsibilities include supervising 15–40 contractual personnel, coordinating shifts, and driving continuous improvement through training and process controls.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production schedules to meet output targets and delivery timelines.
• Monitor all stages of manufacturing — raw material handling, blending, formulation, filling, and packaging.
• Coordinate with maintenance to schedule preventive maintenance and minimize equipment breakdowns.
• Oversee in-process checks, batch documentation, and product release procedures.
• Minimize rework and rejections through proactive process monitoring.
• Supervise and evaluate a team of production operators, helpers, and technicians (15–40 contractual personnel).
• Plan shift schedules, manage attendance, and ensure adequate staffing.
• Identify training needs and coordinate on‑job training for team members.
• Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate batch manufacturing records (BMRs), logbooks, and production MIS reports.
• Ensure compliance with Indian regulatory standards for fertilizers and bio‑agriculture products.

Job description

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production schedules to meet output targets and delivery timelines.
• Monitor all stages of manufacturing — raw material handling, blending, formulation, filling, and packaging.
• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials to minimize waste and downtime.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance and minimize equipment breakdowns.

• Ensure all products are manufactured in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and established SOPs.
• Coordinate with the QC/QA team to address non-conformances and implement process improvements.
• Oversee in-process checks, batch documentation, and product release procedures.
• Minimize rework and rejections through proactive process monitoring.

Team Management

• Supervise, motivate, and evaluate a team of production operators, helpers, and technicians (typically 15–40 Contractual personnel).
• Plan shift schedules, manage attendance, and always ensure adequate staffing.
• Identify training needs and coordinate on‑job training for team members.
• Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain accurate batch manufacturing records (BMRs), logbooks, and production MIS reports.
• Ensure compliance with the Fertilizer (Control) Order (FCO), Feed Safety Management System (FSMS) requirements, and other applicable Indian regulatory standards for the manufacturing, quality control bio-agriculture products, biostimulants, feed additives, and premixes.
• Support internal and external audits — regulatory, quality, and safety.
• Ensure proper labelling, storage, and dispatch of finished goods as per regulatory norms.
