Job summary

Octillion Power Systems seeks a production supervisor to oversee line operations, ensure SOP compliance, and drive safety and productivity. You will monitor downtime, coordinate materials, lead shift meetings, manage multi-skill matrices, and enforce PPE and 5S on the shop floor.

You will also investigate root causes and implement corrective actions with a focus on continuous improvement. Candidate will work with operators across stations, maintain records, and support cost-saving initiatives

Qualifications

• Maintain documents and records at each work station.
• Troubleshoot basic issues on the shop floor.
• Ensure resource availability (Man, Material, Machine) as per plan and coordinate with respective sections.
• Lead daily production meetings with operators before shift start.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily production meetings with operators before shift start.
• Daily downtime monitoring and follow-up actions.
• Control consumables, reduce non standard manpower, and cut overtime.
• Prepare Multi Skill Matrix for operators and rotation trainings plan.
• Daily rework/rejection clearance.
• Ensure product quality per measurement standards and perform root cause analysis when deviations occur.
• Ensure all processes run as per SOP.
• Ensure 100% PPE adherence and safety on the line; lead by example.
• Implement 5-S on the shop floor.
• Investigate accidents and follow up corrective actions for near misses and safety incidents.
• Ensure team safety awareness through training and pre-shift meetings; strive for injury reduction.

• Responsible for basic trouble shooting.
• Ensure all resources like Man, Material, Machine availability as per plan and follow up with respective section/Dept.
• Conducting daily production meeting with all operators before start of shift.
• Daily down time monitoring.
• Responsible for consumable control, non std. manpower reduction, overtime reduction and other cost saving initiatives.
• Preparation of Multi Skill Matrix for operators & Rotation Trainings plane.
• Daily rework/rejection clearance
• Insuring product quality as per measurement standard, if any deviation found then conducting root cause analysis and taking necessary corrective actions.
• Ensuring all processes run as per SOP.
• Ensuring 100% PPE adherence , Safety procedures on line and Lead by example by wearing PPE at all times.
• Ensuring implementation 5-S.
• Accident investigation, reporting & follow through of corrective action items for near miss & safety incidents.
• Ensure team member safety awareness through training, pre-shift meetings, & individual consultation; strive for continuous improvement in injury reduction.
• Discipline team members per company policies & procedures.
• Promote and assist in team building, build positive Team Member relations and demonstrate positive leadership skills; lead by example.
• Organize, maintain and promote a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
