Job summary

Rollick Ice Cream in India is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, lead a production team, and ensure quality and safety standards. You will optimize workflows, coordinate with QA, maintenance, procurement, and store teams, and maintain accurate production records.

The role requires 2–4 years in manufacturing with a diploma or degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering and a focus on lean practices.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering or related field.
  • 2–4 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise daily production activities to meet production targets as per plan.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of equipment and workforce.
  • Implement strategies for improving production efficiency and reducing waste.
  • Assign tasks to production operators and provide guidance to achieve production goals.
  • Ensure team members adhere to safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Support staff training and skill development.
  • Enforce quality control standards and oversee inspections to maintain product consistency.
  • Monitor production processes, equipment, and workflows to ensure adherence to quality standards while maintaining hygiene on the floor.
  • Work closely with the QA team to address any product quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain proper documentation of quality checks and production logs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of production data into the system.
  • Promote and enforce a safe work environment by maintaining safety norms and compliance with health and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, identifying and addressing potential hazards in the production area.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement and Store team to ensure availability of raw materials and resources required for uninterrupted production.
  • Monitor the usage of materials and supplies, aiming to reduce waste and optimize resource allocation.
  • Track and manage equipment maintenance schedules, coordinating with the Maintenance team to prevent downtime.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyse relevant reports to ensure accurate and timely reporting, supporting data-driven decision‑making across the department.
