Job summary

HI Power Copper Industry in India seeks a dynamic leader to oversee daily production operations across copper melting, casting, extrusion, rolling and drawing lines. You will drive schedules, monitor targets and ensure 5S discipline on the shop floor to sustain high quality output.

The ideal candidate has hands-on metallurgy expertise, experience with heavy plant machinery, and a proven ability to manage a large crew including contract labour with clear shift handovers and disciplined attendance.

Qualifications

• Copper metallurgy expertise.
• Experience operating heavy plant machinery (furnaces, presses, drawing blocks).
• Practical knowledge of lean tools (5S, Kaizen).
• Clear leadership to direct a large crew of skilled and contract labour.
• Strong floor communication for instructions and handovers.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across copper melting, casting, extrusion, rolling or drawing lines.
• Execute production schedules to hit shift volume and timeline targets.
• Track and control scrap rates to minimize material waste.
• Assign tasks, goals and placements to operators and helpers.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and organization across all production areas.
• Inspect raw materials and finished copper against ISO 9001 and grade standards.
• Supervise, mentor and train shift personnel on machinery operations and safety.
• Resolve minor workforce grievances and manage shift attendance.

Role & responsibilities :

• Lead daily operations across copper melting, casting, extrusion, rolling, or drawing lines.
• Execute schedules to hit shift volume and timeline targets.
• Track and control scrap rates to minimize raw material waste.
• Assign tasks, goals and machine placements to operators and helpers.
• Maintain high housekeeping and organization standards across all production work areas using 5S methodologies.
• Inspect raw materials and finished copper against ISO 9001 and grade standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and train shift personnel on machinery operations, safety protocols, and standard procedures
• Resolve minor workforce grievances, manage shift attendance, and maintain a disciplined, productive floor environment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Hands-on expertise in copper metallurgy (temperatures, properties, shaping).
• Experience operating heavy plant machinery (furnaces, presses, drawing blocks).
• Practical knowledge of lean tools (5S, Kaizen, basic troubleshooting).
