Job summary

LT-Larsen & Toubro in Tamil Nadu is seeking a Production Planner to develop and implement production plans aligned with project timelines and priorities. You will prepare detailed schedules for fabrication, assembly, and dispatch, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, and execution teams to ensure a smooth workflow.

You will monitor daily production activities, optimize resources, ensure material availability, track progress, and highlight delays or risks.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement production plans based on project timelines and priorities
• Prepare detailed production schedules for fabrication, assembly, and dispatch activities
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and execution teams to ensure smooth workflow
• Monitor daily production activities and ensure adherence to planned schedules
• Optimize resource utilization including manpower, machinery, and materials
• Ensure availability of raw materials and components as per production requirements
• Track progress against production targets and highlight delays or risks
• Prepare and update production reports, MIS, and progress dashboards
• Identify bottlenecks in fabrication processes and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate with QAQC to ensure production meets quality standards
• Maintain proper documentation for work orders, material usage, and outputs
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
• Support cost control by minimizing wastage and improving efficiency
• Plan and monitor subcontracting or outsourcing activities if required
