Job summary

ROCKWOOL Group in Gujarat, India seeks an experienced Demand Planner/Production Planning professional to support accurate forecasts and inventory control in a manufacturing environment.

You will analyze data, coordinate with sales, marketing and finance, maintain planning software and develop forecasts at multiple levels and horizons to optimize supply and inventory strategies.

Qualifications

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing with Production Planning and Control.

• Generate progress reports and presentations
• Identify forecast changes
• Collect data from internal and external sources on factors affecting demand
• Analyze sales, stock, and other data statistics
• Review historical sales trends
• Forecast demand by modeling data
• Capture information on promotions and production delays
• Gather updates from vendors, distributors, and sales stakeholders
• Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels and horizons
• Coordinate cross-functional research to reconcile variances
• Interact with sales, marketing and customer finance to understand demand drivers
• Use and maintain demand planning software
• Provide input to supply planning on inventory strategies for existing items, new products and phase-outs
• Refine systems and methods to improve forecasts

• Refining systems and methods to improve forecasts in order to better anticipate customer needs
