Job summary

HP in Chennai seeks a Demand Planning professional to manage forecasting methods and analyze demand trends across the service support lifecycle. You will identify deviations, anticipate seasonal and lifecycle factors, and work on corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy.

The role requires 2–6 years in supply chain/planning with strong analytical skills and fluency in English. You will collaborate with PLM and suppliers on inventory optimization and lifecycle events, contributing to cost

• Manages demand planning processes utilizing wide range of forecasting methods across the service support lifecycle.
• Analyzes demand trends to identify deviations and root causes.
• Anticipates factors influencing demand such as seasonal trends and lifecycle specifics.
• Analyzes forecast accuracy and identifies reasons for deviations to take corrective actions.
• Evaluates current and future inventory requirements to mitigate shortages or excesses.
• Applies multi-echelon inventory optimization to make inventory decisions.
• Monitors excess & obsolescence trends and mitigates cost impact.
• Optimizes sourcing plan to maximize repair vs new buy and balance replenishment across locations.
• Manages lifecycle events like NPI and Last Time Buy with PLM and suppliers.
• Supports process improvements and automation by analyzing data and identifying patterns.

• Applies solid understanding in Multi-echelon Inventory Optimization methodology to take inventory decisions.
• Analyses inventory trends and deviations, and root causes, takes corrective actions.
• Closely monitors Excess & Obsolescence trends and takes actions to mitigate cost impact
• Optimizes sourcing plan to reach targeted inventory, by maximizing repair vs new buy

Education (degree) And Professional Experience Required

• Bachelor/master’s degree in supply chain or math - related subject or Engineering
• +2-6 years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning or other roles with strong analytical aspects are critical advantage
