Job summary

Shahi is seeking a Production Operator to safely run plant machinery and manage chemical processes on shift. You will execute batches per SOP, monitor critical parameters and ensure clean, compliant operations. Experience with batch reactors and chemical handling is required.

You will also log batch data, assist in material handling, and report issues promptly to the Shift Incharge. This role demands physical work in a chemical plant and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• ITI (Industrial Training Institute) or PU qualification required.
• 3 to 5 years hands-on plant operator experience.
• Textile chemicals, speciality chemicals or petrochemical exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate chemical processing equipment including reactors, blenders, pumps and distillation units.
• Handle, weigh and feed raw materials into production systems per BMR.
• Read and record temperature, pressure and flow rates regularly.
• Maintain 5S, follow PPE safety guidelines and keep the area clean.
• Fill batch sheets, material movement logs and shift checklists accurately.
• Assist in safe loading/unloading and internal transfer of finished products.
• Report malfunctions, leaks or deviations immediately to supervision.

Job description

Summary:

The Production Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient physical operation of plant machinery, equipment, and chemical processes during their assigned shift. Working under the direct supervision of the Production Shift Incharge, this role ensures execution of production batches according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) , Experience in handling batch reactor process.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plant Operation:Operate chemical processing equipment including reactors, blenders, pumps, and distillation units.
• Material Charging:Handle, weigh, and feed chemical raw materials into production systems according to batch manufacturing records (BMR).
• Process Monitoring:Read and record process parameters like temperature, pressure, and flow rates at regular intervals.
• Housekeeping & Safety:Maintain a clean work area (5S) and strictly follow safety guidelines, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Batch Logging:Accurately fill out batch sheets, material movement logs, and shift checklists.
• Material Handling:Assist in the safe loading, unloading, and internal transfer of finished products and hazardous chemicals.
• First-Line Maintenance:Report equipment malfunctions, leaks, or process deviations immediately to the Shift Incharge.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education:ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate or PU (Pre-University / 12th Standard) qualification.
• Experience:3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a plant operator.
• Industry Sector:Practical work experience in Textile Chemicals, Speciality Chemicals, or the Petrochemical Industry.
• Technical Skills:Familiarity with chemical handling safety, handling valves, basic mechanical tools, and following standard manufacturing records.
• Physical Demands:Ability to work in rotating shifts and perform physical tasks typical of a chemical plant floor environment.
