Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years in core production.

• Strong understanding of chemical unit operations, safety hazards, and DCS/PLC handling.
• Good crisis decision-making and communication skills.

Summary:

The Production Shift Incharge is responsible for overseeing and managing daily manufacturing operations during a designated shift. This role ensures that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards within the chemical manufacturing facility. Experience in handling batch chemical process , handling reactors , distillation and other associated process equipments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Shift Management: Direct and monitor daily shift operations to achieve targeted production volumes.
• Process Control: Monitor chemical processes, critical parameters, and equipment to ensure optimal plant performance.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, hazardous material handling, and environmental regulations.
• Quality Assurance: Batch monitoring and raw material verification to maintain product specifications and minimize defects.
• Troubleshooting: Identify operational bottlenecks or equipment deviations and implement immediate corrective actions.
• Manpower Allocation: Supervise, assign tasks to, and manage shift operators and contractual technicians.
• Reporting: Maintain detailed shift logs, production reports, and incident reports for seamless handovers.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Education: Diploma in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc in Chemistry ,
• Experience: 3 to 5 years of core production experience.
• Industry Sector: Industry background in Textile Chemicals, Speciality Chemicals, or the Petrochemical Industry.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of chemical unit operations, safety hazards, and DCS/PLC handling (if applicable).
• Soft Skills: Quick crisis decision-making, and effective communication.
