Job summary

Astral Coating Private Limited is seeking a Production Officer (Tinting & Shade Matching) based in Sompura, Bengaluru. The role requires hands-on experience in paint tinting, shade matching and manufacturing operations, with a focus on accurate colour development and production execution.

The candidate should have 2–5 years in paint manufacturing, and a Diploma / B.Sc. / B.E. in Chemical, Paint Technology, Polymer, or a related discipline. Kannada language is mandatory for this position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute daily paint manufacturing activities as per the production plan.
• Perform paint tinting and shade matching as per approved colour standards.
• Monitor quality, safety and productivity; coordinate with Planning, QC and Warehouse.
• Maintain tinting records, batch sheets and shift reports; ensure SOP and ISO compliance.
• Follow EHS guidelines and maintain 5S and proper PPE usage.

Role Overview

Astral Coating Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Production Officer with hands-on experience in paint tinting, shade matching, and paint manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate colour development, production execution, quality consistency, and smooth manufacturing operations. Candidates must be fluent in Kannada, as this is a mandatory requirement for the role.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Execute daily paint manufacturing activities as per the production plan.
• Ensure smooth production while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.
• Coordinate with Planning, QC, and Warehouse teams for uninterrupted production.

Tinting & Shade Matching

• Perform paint tinting and shade matching as per approved colour standards.
• Ensure colour consistency through visual and instrumental shade evaluation.
• Troubleshoot shade variations and implement corrective actions to achieve first-time-right production.

Quality & Process Control

• Monitor production parameters and ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Coordinate with QC for batch approvals and colour verification.
• Minimize rejection and rework through effective process monitoring.

Production Documentation

• Maintain production records, batch sheets, tinting records, and shift reports.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, ISO systems, and plant documentation requirements.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow EHS guidelines and safe chemical handling practices.
• Maintain 5S standards and good housekeeping in the production area.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to plant safety procedures.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Hands-on experience in Paint Tinting & Shade Matching (Mandatory)
• Knowledge of Paint Manufacturing Processes
